Who is responsible
Deevya Patel, a sole trader trading as Lost & Found, is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact details are below. This notice covers lostandfoundobjects.com and our shop transactions.
What we collect and why
To fulfil orders, we and our service providers process your name, email, delivery and billing details, order contents and payment status. This is necessary to perform our contract with you. Shopify and payment providers process checkout and payment information; we do not receive your full card details. We process messages to answer enquiries and resolve problems, relying on our legitimate interests in customer service or our contract with you, as appropriate. We retain transaction records where required by tax and other laws.
Drop-list emails
If you actively sign up, we store your email address, consent time and the wording version in our website database, separate from Shopify's customer list. Consent is the basis for sending drop announcements and occasional workbench updates. You can withdraw consent at any time using our unsubscribe page, the link in a marketing email, or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful beforehand. Joining the list is optional and is not required to buy.
Providers and transfers
Our custom website runs on OpenAI Sites infrastructure using Cloudflare services. Shopify provides the commerce and checkout services; payment providers process payments; Royal Mail and delivery partners receive the details needed to deliver orders. Google Fonts supplies website fonts and receives ordinary connection information such as your IP address when your browser requests them. Providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where required, transfers must use adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards such as approved contractual terms. Contact us for details about safeguards relevant to your data.
Cookies and technical data
Our storefront does not intentionally install advertising pixels or optional analytics. Hosting and checkout providers may process technical connection and security information to operate their services. See our Cookies page for more information, including the separate Shopify checkout. We do not sell your personal data.
Retention
We keep order and accounting records for the applicable legal retention period, and correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the matter and related claims. Drop-list data is kept while you remain subscribed; unsubscribing through this site deletes the entry from the site's active mailing list. Limited backups or legally necessary records may remain for their applicable retention periods. Contact us about deletion or retention of your particular records.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the details below. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. UK residents may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk; you may also contact your local data protection authority.
Changes
